Potassium iodide (KI) is mainly used as a source of Iodine. If KI is used as a source of potassium and the total daily dose of iodine exceeds the minimum dosage value indicated in NNHPD's Multi-Vitamin/Mineral Supplements monograph, iodine must be declared on the Product License Application form and label as medicinal ingredient and its quantity per dosage unit must be provided.
