Description:
An essential fatty acid cannot be synthesized in the body; hence, it must be supplied through the diet or a supplement. Linoleic acid and alpha linolenic acid are essential fatty acids. All other fatty acids (such as oleic acid, conjugated linoleic acid, gamma-linoleic acid, arachidonic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid) are considered extracts or isolates.
