Mode(s) d'emploi
Tous les produits
- Attendre 2 heures avant et après la prise d'autres médicaments ou produits de santé naturels (Sweetman 2007, Keithley et Swanson 2005).
- Prendre ce produit avec une quantité insuffisante de liquide peut provoquer l'étouffement ou le blocage/l'obstruction de la gorge, de l'sophage ou de l'intestin (FDA 2009; Sweetman 2007; Vanderbeek et al. 2007; Henry et al. 1986).
Facultatif :
- Prendre au cours de la journée (ne pas prendre immédiatement avant le coucher) (Sweetman 2007).
Réduction du taux de cholestérol
Prendre 0,5 à 1 heure avant les repas (Chen et al. 2003, Arvill et Bodin 1995, Walsh et al. 1984).

- Prendre avec les repas (Chen et al. 2008, Chen et al. 2006, González Canga et al. 2004, Loening-Baucke et al. 2004).
- Effets observés dans les 12 à 24 heures après la première dose, mais pourrait prendre 2 à 3 jours (Berardi et al. 2002).
Facultatif : Pour les produits fournissant une gamme de posologies
- La dose quotidienne minimale peut être augmentée graduellement jusqu'à ce que l'effet désiré soit obtenu, sans dépasser la dose quotidienne maximale.
Pour les capsules
Prendre avec au moins 240 millilitres de liquide (par ex., eau, lait, jus de fruit ou autre breuvage semblable) (FDA 2009, Martino et al. 2005, Chen et al. 2003, Arvill et Bodin 1995, Walsh et al. 1984)
Pour la poudre
Pour chaque gramme de glucomannane, mélanger avec au moins 240 millilitres de liquide (par ex., eau, lait, jus de fruits ou autre breuvage semblable). Agiter vigoureusement et boire immédiatement. Maintenir une consommation suffisant de liquide (FDA 2018; EMA 2013).

- Consulter un praticien des soins de santé/fournisseur de soins de santé/professionnel de la santé/docteur/médecin si les symptômes s'aggravent ou si la constipation persiste au-delà de 7 jours d'utilisation (Pray 2006; Repchinsky 2002).
- Consulter un praticien des soins de santé/fournisseur de soins de santé/professionnel de la santé/docteur/médecin avant d'en faire l'usage si vous observez des changements soudains dans vos habitudes intestinales qui persistent au-delà de 2 semaines, en cas de saignement rectal non diagnostiqué ou si la prise d'un autre laxatif n'avait entraîné aucune défécation (Pray 2006).
- Consulter un praticien des soins de santé/fournisseur de soins de santé/professionnel de la santé/docteur/médecin avant d'en faire l'usage si vous souffrez de symptômes tels que des douleurs abdominales, des nausées, des vomissements ou de la fièvre (puisque ces symptômes peuvent être des signes d'autres conditions sévères) (Pray 2006; Berardi et al. 2002).

- Peut causer des flatulences et/ou des ballonnements (Sood et al. 2008).
