Utilisé en phytothérapie pour aider à soulager les symptômes urologiques (par ex., une diminution de l'écoulement de l'urine, une miction incomplète, des polyuries nocturnes et diurnes) associés à l'hypertrophie bénigne de la prostate (HBP), légère à modérée (Croom et Chan 2010; USP 32 2009; Bradley 2006; Wilt et al. 2002; Blumenthal et al. 2000).
