Tous les ingrédients inclus dans cette monographie peuvent être combinés selon les restrictions suivantes :
- Les produits contenant de l'iode, des algues ou toute autre source d'iode ne doivent pas fournir plus de 800 microgrammes d'iode par jour chez les adultes.
- La dose maximale journalière de bêta-carotène (incluant le bêta-carotène provenant d'un mélange de caroténoïdes) en combinaison avec d'autres sources de vitamine A ne doit pas dépasser l'apport maximal tolérable (AMT) pour la vitamine A.
- Lorsque l'ingrédient 'Mélange de concentré de tocophérols' est combiné avec de la vitamine E, la quantité totale d'alpha-tocophérol doit être prise en compte. Si celle-ci dépasse 179 mg par jour, les énoncés de risque provenant de la monographie pour ingrédient unique de la vitamine E de la DPSNSO doivent être inclus.
- La quantité totale quotidienne de vitamines et minéraux dans le produit fini ne doit pas dépasser les quantités listées dans la monographie Suppléments de multivitamines/minéraux de la DPSNSO.
- Pour les produits fournissant des bioflavonoïdes (bioflavonoïdes d'agrumes, quercétine, hespéridine, rutine), la dose totale maximale journalière ne doit pas dépasser 1 g par jour.
- Pour les produits contenant une combinaison d'extrait de thé vert, d'extrait de fèves de café vert et/ou d'autres sources de caféine, la quantité totale de caféine ne doit pas dépasser 150 mg par jour.

Lorsque cette information n'est pas présente sur le formulaire de demande de licence de mise en marché (DLMM) (c.-à-d. substances individuelles listées sous « matière d'origine »), une lettre de présentation listant les substances et les informations associées doit accompagner le formulaire de DLMM. Chaque substance individuelle doit être listée dans la BDIPSN et être associée à un rôle médicinal.
