- Aide à promouvoir un bon équilibre de l'humeur (Pöldinger et al.1991; Zmilacher et al. 1988; Nakajima et al. 1978).
- Aide à soulager les symptômes de la fibromyalgie (Nicolodi et Sicuteri 1996; Sarzi Puttini et Caruso 1992; Caruso et al. 1990).
- Aide à diminuer la gravité et la durée des migraines lorsqu'elle est prise à titre préventif (prophylactique) (Titus et al. 1986; Bono et al. 1984; Sicuteri 1973).
- À utiliser dans le cadre d'un programme qui recommande une réduction de l'apport calorique et une augmentation de l'activité physique (dans la mesure du possible) pour aider à la gestion du poids en diminuant les envies de glucides/hydrates de carbone (Cangiano et al. 1998; Cangiano et al. 1992; Ceci et al. 1989).
- Utilisé comme aide-sommeil (Soulairac et Lambinet 1977; Wyatt et al. 1971).

Pour minimiser les risques d'effets secondaires gastro-intestinaux, commencer par une dose de 100 mg, 2 à 3 fois par jour, puis augmenter lentement jusqu'à la dose efficace sur une période de 2 semaines (Birdsall 1988).

- Cesser l'utilisation et consulter un praticien de soins de santé/fournisseur de soins de santé/ professionnel de la santé/docteur/médecin si vous souffrez de faiblesse, d'ulcères buccaux ou de douleurs abdominales accompagnées de fortes douleurs musculaires ou si vous constatez des changements au niveau de la peau (Das et al. 2004; Lampert et al. 1992; Sternberg et al. 1980).
- Éviter de consommer de l’alcool ou tout autre produit pouvant causer de la somnolence.
Contre-indications(s)
Ne pas utiliser ce produit si vous souffrez de sclérodermie (Lampert et al. 1992; Sternberg et al. 1980).

- Certaines personnes pourraient éprouver de la somnolence. Faire preuve de prudence si vous conduisez de la machinerie lourde ou tout autre véhicule motorisé, ou si vous participez à une activité qui nécessite de la vigilance mentale (Caruso et al. 1990; Zmilacher et al. 1988; Takahashi et al. 1976).
